Where do you stand running an entrepreneurial company?
A free, confidential self-assessment. In about 20 minutes you find out where you are strong, where you are exposed, and what the program would teach you. Every report is reviewed personally by the founders of AEIOU before it is sent.
Five answers you can use, whether or not you join.
Could you answer these about your company today?
Most founders can answer questions about their product. Fewer can answer questions about the structure around it: the cap table, the documents, the decision rights and the exit. Those are the questions that decide who keeps the value.
- Do you know the total amount that would need to be paid out before common shareholders receive anything in an exit?
- How clearly defined are the decision rights between founders, board, and investors?
- Before entering a significant negotiation, how much preparation does the leadership team typically do?
- How dependent is the company on specific individuals for critical functions that would be difficult to transfer?
- When was the last time the leadership team did a detailed walkthrough of what each stakeholder would receive at different exit valuations?
Scored automatically. Reviewed personally.
Before you start.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no cost and no login, and taking it does not commit you to anything.
Who sees my answers?
Only the AEIOU founders. Your results are never shared with investors, boards, acquirers or any third party. Anonymized, aggregated data may be used for research on founder education.
Why does the report take a few days?
Scoring is automatic, but we read every report before it goes out, so what you receive is accurate and useful.
I am not a founder yet. Should I take it?
Yes, if you are planning a venture, joining a founding team or advising one. Answer for your current or intended company.
Can my co-founders take it too?
Yes. Each founder takes it separately and receives their own report. Comparing them shows where your team is aligned and where it is exposed.
Can I take it again later?
Yes. Take it again after the program, or before a raise or a sale, to see what has changed.
